Welcome to Whites Electronics Metal Detectors
As most of you know Whites Electronics have supported this magazine
since its beginning and we thought it would be a good idea to show you
all just what they do and to answer a few of our readers’ questions.
Whites have been making metal detectors and metal detectors
accessories since 1981 and are known for making good reliable
machines from the beginner to the more experienced detectorist. The
after sales service is renowned as one of the best in the world of
detectors. And the hospitality they showed us when we were up there
was second to none.

Robertson who supplied us with coffee and biscuits before getting their
Customer Services Engineer James Logan to take us around the
factory floor where they make the detectors
Most of the detectors that we know Whites make are made in
America and Whites in Scotland distribute them to everywhere
in the world apart from America .... read more, whites detectors

Par for the course
Every now and again in this hobby there are things that pop out
the ground that have writing or a picture on them. To get one that
has both is intriguing. This happened to Les Hannah while metal
detecting Scotland in Fife. He found an old football medal made of
silver with the winners name still on it and Les thought that he

winner Mr J. Lawson of Dunfermline Athletic FC and dated 1887.
He emailed the football club and also contacted the Dunfermline
supporter’s forum to see if they could come up with any answers.
Dunfermline Athletic Football Club at the time was going through
administration in the hope that the fans were going to be able to
do a buyout and own their club.
The supporter’s forum came up with an answer for Les.
